Rising with the same determination everytime after every fall is habit of Manish Shah. Meet a successful entrepreneur from Pune

Having roots in Sangli, Manish (second eldest in the family) grew up in a very modest middle class family. His father had foundry in Sangli which went bankrupt and at the age of 15, Manish had to bare burden of the whole family and also continue with his studies. His battle of struggle began from the same time. He finished his schooling, passed BSc with first position from Shivaji University, Sangli and came to Pune for pursuing MSc in Electronics from Pune University.In 1986, after completion of post-graduation he joined a company in Pune.                                                                            

In these years he made contacts with many builders and constructors, as he had a strong belief in the sector establishing as a construction industry. Also, he had sensed lack of electronic support in the sector and decided to take it as an opportunity for himself. He had set the vision of taking construction industry beyond cement and steel to electronic products and security systems. As Manish always wanted to have his own electronics business, he resigned from the company and in 1994 he founded ‘Safe House Security’ in partnership, with the mere investment of Rs. 10000. He had noticed the unavailability of electronic engineers working in the construction industry; hence he decided to become the one. He began giving electronic product assistance to the construction sites. He manufactured water level controllers to avoid water over-flow, protectors and more such products required for the construction industry. In 2001, when Pune was facing power-cut problems, and since no MNC was selling inverters or UPS in India, Manish thought of manufacturing and selling those. His products like inverters and stabilizers received an over-whelming response. Later, in 2006 he stopped manufacturing the products as many MNC’s were investing in India and selling his production at lower rates than their products was hard. Also, he had discontinued with the partnership due to which managing finances was becoming difficult.  
In these years, he took dealership of various electronic MNC’s, concentrated on trading, distribution and integration of those products. From 2001-2010 he had sold more than 10,000 invertors in Pune. As competition was also rising, in 2002, he thought of supplying security products which were still new in Pune and very few were aware about those. He also started integrating CCTV systems and to bring awareness began participated in exhibitions and met builders and constructors personally.
In 2007, when builder and construction segment was in boom Manish thought of integrating video door phone systems. He also became the distributor of video door phone systems of a Korean company. But in 2009 when recession doomed in the industry, builders hesitated to buy those security products due to cost differences. Seeing the problem Manish decided to import products directly and also began his partnership with a China based company for four years. Till 2014, though Manish had distributorship of various MNC’s, Safe House Security had already made a good name; hence he decided to promote products under Safe House Security. Approx. 80% of the builders and constructors are well aware of the Safe House Security and its trustworthy services.                                                                                       

Manish established Safe House Security with a vision “to make others life more secure and comfortable.” Also, he has set some values to be followed which are like Work hard and well in all areas, to have new and creative ideas to give customised solutions, adjust to new circumstances easily and be flexible, to care for others, most reliable and trustworthy.   
Manish is the first person to introduce security and safety electronic products in Pune. To add to the achievements, in 2009, Safe House Security installed 600 IP Camera’s in Magarpatta city and are the first to do so in the city. Its the first to introduce IP video door phones in Pune. The services from Safe House Security has helped raise its success rate to 80% especially in builder lobby.
Currently, Safe House Security has 50 employees bifurcated in different teams like installation team, service team, custom support team, maintainance team, sales team and back office team. Mrs. Vaishali Shah also helps Manish in expanding business; she looks after the administration and back office.
Safe House Security has developed their own security products like video door phone and automation and are in good demand. It has also also working with government and many city based architects along with the constructors and builders. Its currently working with many known constructors like Amar builders, Gagan developers, Prestine, Darode-Jog, Amit builders and more. Also, Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital is their customer.                                         
Reaching to this peak wasn’t easy for Manish. When he decided to step in business, his family was hesitant to support him as they had gone bankrupt, seen bad days and feared of the same consequences.
